Line Drawings: Welcome to My Favorite Pastime!

Updated: Aug 29, 2020

I have been receiving more and more requests for custom artwork on projects lately. Most often on wedding invitations, correspondence cards and maps. I love the personal touch that this adds. For Philadelphia weddings, the LOVE statue inspired artwork is the obvious favorite.

I created several meaningful drawings for a bride who was getting married at her family's estate. The engagement took place at the Corvette factory when the couple was picking up their custom-built Corvette. We had to include that!

I've started referring to these drawings as my "Project Places". I just love the time I get to spend drawing. It does take quite a bit of time to create these images and this time is so special to me.

It is a quiet, meditative process. I like to think that the peace I feel in the drawing process that same peace is passed along to my clients on their special day and for the future. Too woowoo? I love a little woowoo!

What landmark or special location should I draw next for "Project Places"? I am looking to expand my locations portfolio. Check out the gallery below for some of my current favorites: City Hall, Boathouse Row, Ballroom at the Ben and the Union League. It doesn’t have to be local to the Philadelphia area. There is a small drawing of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC below. I can't wait to see what you all come up with for me! Watch my Instagram feed for some new projects!
