February 2026

Cold Days, Deep Roots

February always feels a little deceptive. On paper, it looks quieter—but in reality, it’s a month of steady movement. The days are still short, the cold lingers, and yet there’s a subtle shift happening. The year no longer feels brand new, but it hasn’t fully revealed its rhythm yet either. I’m trying to be mindful of that in-between space—allowing for focus without filling every moment.

There are small things I’m especially enjoying right now: slower evenings at home, good books, comfort cooking experiments that finally feel like wins, and finding pockets of escape where I can. It’s less about big plans and more about settling into the season as it is.

In the studio, February is about clarity. Designing Save the Dates and invitations for spring and summer weddings, refining details, and laying thoughtful groundwork for what’s ahead. It’s a productive, intentional time—one that sets the tone for the months to come.

I’m especially grateful for the couples and creative partners who trust me during this early phase of planning. These quieter, foundational moments are where the work really takes shape, and it’s a privilege to be part of that process.

What to consider before designing your Save the Dates—so the rest of your stationery journey feels clear and intentional.

Pro Tip…

Save the Dates don’t need to be designed as early as possible—they need to be sent when your information is clear.
For many couples, waiting a few extra weeks leads to better communication and fewer questions later.

    SCHEDULE

February Checklist

  • Custom Invitations: Start the process now if you are getting married in June or July.

  • Semi-Custom Invitations: Order now if you are getting married in May or June.

  • Order Day-of Stationery: For March or April weddings, it is important to order programs, menus, place cards, and any other details now.

Pro Tip…

Cohesion across your wedding stationery isn’t about everything matching. It’s about recognition. Carrying through a typestyle, color, or subtle design detail can create a sense of continuity without locking you into every decision too early.

Workday Jazz Playlist

My workday jazz playlist has been on heavy rotation this month. It’s equal parts grounding and background-enough-to-focus, and honestly… it may be the reason Spotify aged me a lot in my annual review. Worth it. There’s something about jazz during the workday that makes everything feel a little calmer and more intentional.

Listening

Bridgerton, Season 4

We’re usually diving into Oscar nominations this time of year, but lately I’ve been craving something lighter and more escape-like. My husband has opted out, but I’m happily watching Bridgerton. The romance, the costumes, the visual richness—it all feels indulgent in the best way, and a welcome bit of escapism right now.

Watching

Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon

If I’m being honest, in the middle of this cold snap I’d much rather be reading about somewhere warm and sunny. But this month’s book club pick pulled me in anyway. Set in 18th-century Maine, it’s atmospheric and quietly gripping, inspired by the real life of midwife Martha Ballard. It feels very winter-appropriate—best read bundled up, with something warm to drink.

Classic Sourdough

I’ve finally gotten on the sourdough bandwagon. After about a month of watching YouTube videos and experimenting with starters (including tragically cooking two of them after accidentally preheating the oven - yikes!), I’ve officially made several successful loaves. This is my favorite recipe so far, and the website it comes from has been incredibly helpful as I’ve been learning. Totally a coincidence, but the creator’s name is also Amy, which feels like a good sign.
