A NEW YEAR, with SO MUCH AHEAD

I’m sending this note a day early as a quiet way to close out 2025 and step into 2026 with intention. The turn of a new year always invites reflection—on what unfolded, what surprised us, and what we’re carrying forward.

January tends to arrive with a mix of fresh energy and gentler pacing. There’s space to dream a little, to set thoughtful intentions, and to imagine what the months ahead might hold. I’m looking forward to returning to the studio after the holidays, easing back into creative rhythm, and beginning new projects for couples planning celebrations in the year ahead.

In the studio, this season is about laying foundations—early design conversations, refining concepts for spring and summer weddings, and shaping ideas that will unfold over time. It’s quieter work, but deeply meaningful.

As we step into a new year, I’m incredibly grateful for the planners, photographers, and couples who trusted me throughout 2025. Each collaboration adds depth to this work, and I’m excited for what’s to come in 2026.

Pro Tip…

Start with Feeling, Then Form

Before choosing fonts, colors, or print methods, take a moment to define how you want your wedding to feel—for you and for your guests. That emotional clarity makes every stationery decision easier and ensures the final result feels aligned, not overwhelming.

January Checklist

  • Custom Invitations: Start the process now if you are getting married in June or July.

  • Semi-Custom Invitations: Order now if you are getting married in April or May.

  • Order Day-of Stationery: For February or March weddings, it is important to order programs, menus, place cards, and any other details now.

Pro Tip…

Think in Chapters, Not Checklists

Wedding stationery works best when it’s planned as a sequence—save the dates, invitations, and day-of pieces—rather than a single task to cross off. When you view each piece as part of a larger story, everything feels more cohesive and intentional.

 my current favorites

Stranger Things

I hesitated to jump back in after such a long break—the characters are older, the story has shifted—but I’m completely pulled in. The 80s throwbacks (including a song by Tiffany that sent me straight back to my youth) are pure nostalgia, and I can’t believe I’m about to watch the final episode ever tonight (or maybe tomorrow).

All Out 80’s

After watching Stranger Things, I immediately wanted to keep the nostalgia going. Cue a deep dive into 80s music—familiar songs, forgotten favorites, and the kind of soundtrack that makes studio time feel lighter and a little more fun.

How to Winter by Kari Leibowitz, PhD

Winter isn’t my favorite season—I love being outdoors, and I really don’t love being cold—so this one is hitting right at the heart of it. I’m reading it for book club, and also in hopes of finding a gentler way to embrace winter this year (or at least make peace with it).

Sheet Pan Pierogies with Brussel Sprouts and Kimchi

I’m making a slightly strange (but surprisingly delicious) concoction for a friend’s New Year’s Eve gathering—sheet-pan pierogies with Brussels sprouts and kimchi. I did a test run once already, and it’s one of those dishes that shouldn’t work… but absolutely does. Try it… trust me.
