MARCH 2026

WAITING for SPRING

March always feels like it’s hovering between seasons — a stretch of gray days, the occasional warm afternoon that tricks you into thinking spring has officially arrived, and then a reminder that winter isn’t quite done with us yet. I kicked off the month with a sauna + cold plunge day and it was completely exhilarating… the kind of reset that makes you immediately want to build more of that into your life. I’m also crossing my fingers that the snowstorms are behind us, because the dogs are more than ready to get back to proper walks (honestly, same).

What’s making this in-between month feel brighter: the couples I get to design for. I’m genuinely grateful for how many thoughtful, wonderful people I’m working with this year — it adds so much light to the day-to-day. And I’m giving March a little help by planning a few things to look forward to: a silly yacht rock show, a Flyers game, Union matches, a sneak peek of spring at Longwood Gardens, plus a few NYC and Philly outings sprinkled in. If March is going to be the longest month, it might as well have some good moments tucked inside it.

Proofing your wedding invitations is one of those small steps that makes a big difference — and it’s the easiest way to prevent little mistakes from turning into bigger headaches later. This month’s blog post shares my calm, step-by-step checklis

Pro Tip…

Review online first, then print your proofs for a final, clearer pass.

Proof in two formats. Start by reviewing your proofs online for overall layout and flow, then print them for a second pass. Even a simple home printout makes typos, spacing, and awkward line breaks much easier to catch.

    SCHEDULE

March Checklist

  • Custom Invitations: Start the process now if you are getting married in September or October.

  • Semi-Custom Invitations: Order now if you are getting married in June or July.

  • Order Day-of Stationery: For April or May weddings, it is important to order programs, menus, place cards, and any other details now.

A beautiful place setting with menu in a setting of gorgeous flowers, candles and huge arch windows at the Hotel Bethlehem.

Pro Tip…

After your review, ask one or two trusted people to proofread with fresh eyes.

Use trusted extra eyes. After you’ve reviewed everything yourself, ask one or two detail-oriented friends or family members to take a look. Fresh eyes catch the things we naturally skim past—especially names, dates, and addresses.

Yacht Rock

Yacht rock for March—slightly ridiculous, instantly mood-lifting, and exactly the energy I need right now.

Listening

The Pitt, Season 2

Still one of the most intense shows in our rotation. It’s set on a chaotic Fourth of July shift (ten months after Season 1), and it has that real-time, edge-of-your-seat pacing where every episode feels like a full-body adrenaline spike. Rarely is a second season as good as the first—this one absolutely is.

Watching

The Slow Burn by Ali Rosen

A smart, light read with just the right amount of romance and humor. I’ve been craving something that lets my brain exhale for a bit, especially with everything happening in the world right now.

Burnt Almond Torte

I recently made this copycat Prantl’s Burnt Almond Torte for a friend’s birthday, and it’s every bit as dreamy as it sounds: tender almond cake, a pastry filling, and that signature toasted “burnt” almond coating. It’s a lot of steps (and dishes), but completely worth it!!!

Here’s to a March with a little more light, a few bright plans on the calendar, and small moments of reset that carry us gently toward spring.
